Welcome to the Scottish Boxer Club

Welcome to the Scottish Boxer Club website we hope you enjoy browsing the site and would encourage you to check for updates on a regular basis.

In October 1948 an inaugural meeting was convened in Edinburgh with the purpose of forming a separate club for the breed in Scotland.

Application to the Kennel Club was supported by the Midland Boxer Club (founded '48) and guaranteed 100%. This was approved and in March '49 the Scottish Boxer Club was granted official status by the Kennel Club.
Since then the club has supported the breed throughout Scotland and now runs a Limited Show and a Championship Show in the Spring and an Open Show in the autumn.

We also run a Top Dog Event early in the year for dogs and puppies who have qualified during the previous year.

The Shows and Events are popular and well supported by the members.

****************

It is with much sadness I have to report the death of our Honorary Life President Mrs Joan McLaren (Braxburn) on Saturday 19th November 2011

Joan held every office within our club over a period of more than 50 years and was devoted to the breed she will be sadly missed.
Our sympathy goes to her husband Jimmy her son Jimmy Jr and daughter Mandy at this sad time.
